Drydocks World wins FPSO upgrade contract

Dubai’s Drydocks World has signed agreements with Bluewater Energy Services and Hurricane Energy to undertake a repair, life extension and upgrade project on FPSO Aoka Mizu.

Drydocks World will also carry out the fabrication of turret buoy for the FPSO to help it moor and weathervane at the field site.

Mohammad Rizal, COO of Drydocks World, commented, “Our expertise and dedication to the highest standards in HSEQ will deliver enhanced FPSO performance and operational efficiency. This is the first time we are working with Bluewater Energy and Hurricane Energy; we look forward to building strong partnerships for future collaboration, demonstrating the progressive approach and integrated solutions our Dubai yard has to offer.”

The FPSO will be deployed in the Lancaster Field West of the Shetlands after completion.
