DryShips offloads another panamax bulker

George Economou’s DryShips has entered into an agreement to sell one of its 2001-built panamax bulkers.

DryShips did not reveal the sale price or the buyer of the vessel, which is ether the Capitola or Levanto. The Levanto has a fair market value of $9.3m according to MSI, while the Capitola has a fair market value significantly lower at $7.7m.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery to its new owner by the end of the month, leaving DryShips with six panamax bulkers.

Last month, DryShips sold 2002-built panamax pair Bargara and Mendocino for $18.8m.
