Taipei: Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) has cancelled a drillship order placed by Taiwanese shipowner TMT.
The original contract period for the Won709.8bn vessel was from June 2008 to December 2013.
The owner has violated the contract due to the bad operational environment, and the company has decided to terminate the contract, DSME said in a statement. [17/12/13]
