Eastern Mediterranean Maritime cancels boxship at CSBC

Taiwanese shipbuilder CSBC says it has received notice from Syra Shipping cancelling an order for a 1,800 teu feeder containership.

CSBC said the termination is accordance with the terms in the shipbuilding contract without specifying the reason of cancellation.

Syra Shipping is a single vessel company of Greek owner Eastern Mediterranean Maritime which ordered two 1,800 teu containerships at CSBC in January 2014 at a price of $25m each.
