Eastern Star Shipping takes on a handy

Lebanon-based Eastern Star Shipping has added a handysize bulker to its fleet. The shy outfit has paid $8.75m for the 32,600 dwt IVS Kanda from Singapore-based Island View Shipping. The ship has been renamed Queen Judi.

Eastern Star is listed managing 13 similar sized ships by European shipping database Equasis.

VesselsValue links the company to Judi Group, an entity believed to be registered in Syria but operating out of Lebanon.
