Eidesvik Offshore layups lead to layoffs

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Eidesvik Offshore is set to lay off 30 seafarers, Norwegian media is reporting.

According to the compay’s CEO Jan Fredrik Meling, the decision is down to further vessel layups leaving it with excess personnel.

Eidesvik Offshore currently has four ships laid up, with an additional vessel laid up by its charterer.
