Eidesvik Offshore in Leiv Erisson Consortium dispute

Norwegian supply, subsea and seismic outfit Eidesvik Offshore has found itself in a contract dispute over the redelivery of two supply vessels.

Viking Athene and Viking Lady, on contract with Norsea Group, have been suspended from operations with the Rig Management organised Leiv Erisson Consortium claiming to have fulfilled the contract. Eidesvik denies that it has been fulfilled and says it will keep the vessels out of operation until both parties have agreed on cancellation terms.

The original deal was awarded in June 2012, and was for a firm period of 15 wells with an additional 18 optional wells. The project is located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
