Eidesvik Offshore reduces charter rates with CGG

Norwegian offshore service provider Eidesvik Offshore has announced that it has reached an agreement with French geophysical company CGG to change the terms of the bareboat contract for seismic vessel Viking Vanquish.

The day rate for the vessel contract, which will expire in November 2020, has been reduced fromJanuary 2017 through to the end of the contract, Eidesvik will receive listed senior notes maturing 2021 and other debt instruments as  compensation.

In November, Eidesvik Offshore also secured charter contracts from CGG for two seismic vessels, Vantage and Veritas Viking, which will commence work in January 2018.
