Eidesvik secures new wind contract and charter extension

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Eidesvik has secured a contract from Siemens Wind Power for its service operations vessel Acergy Viking.

The vessel will commence work for Siemens Wind Power in Germany from June and run for six months with additional options available.

Additionally, Eidesvik has been awarded a contract extension from Chevron North Sea for its multipurpose offshore vessel Viking Princess. The extension is a direct continuation on an existing contract for one-year firm plus options.

“The new contract awarded to the Acergy Viking could not have happened without the excellent operational performance on existing contract for Siemens. We look forward to work together with our client on yet another project. We are also very pleased with the extended thrust from Chevron,” the company said in a release.
