Eiffage in negotiations to take over Saipem’s maritime works activities

Civil engineering construction firm Eiffage has entered into exclusive negotiations with a view to acquire Saipem’s maritime works activities, the French company said in a statement.

Saipem’s maritime works business clocked up nearly EUR100m of revenues last year and around 110 employees would be integrated into Eiffage as part of the deal.

Eiffage is a one of France’s leading construction companies with revenues of €14bn in 2016.
