Eilat to Aqaba feeder service launched
Cairo: A new feeder operation from Eilat to Aqaba and on to mainline routes has been inaugurated. Feeder vessels take just 40 minutes to travel between the two ports and ships capable of carrying around 124 teu will ply the route.
The route avoids using the Suez Canal and saves shippers hundreds of dollars over using Israeli ports, officials from Aqaba port maintained. [22/05/14]
