Eko Shipping takes bulker from Nova Marine Carriers

Turkish company Eko Shipping emerged this week as the buyer of  modern small bulker Sider Milos, sold by Switzerland’s Nova Marine Carriers.

According to broking sources, $4.9m was paid for the 8,100 dwt Chinese-built (2011) mini-bulker, already renamed Yuksel Karabekir.

According to VesseslValue.com this is the second ship controlled by Eko Shipping, the other a small 1,900 dwt general cargo ship.

It is rumoured that Eko Shipping may be an investor in Nova Marine Carriers, controlled by the Italian family Romeo and Canadian group Algoma Central.
