Eni extends AHTS charter with Viking Supply Ships

Oslo: Eni Norge has extended the charter for AHTS Njord Viking (19,050 bhp, built 2011) with Viking Supply Ships, for a period of 17 months.

The vessel is currently supporting the Goliat project in the Barents Sea, and its contract was due to expire at the end of July. It will now remain with Eni until December 31, 2016 with an additional pair of six month options.

Viking Supply Ships said in a release that in exchange for a longer firm period than originally agreed, the rate has been reduced. Viking will receive around NOK 150m ($18.8m) from Eni over the firm charter period.
