ENN Energy orders LNG bunkering vessel at DSIC

Chinese clean energy firm ENN Energy has placed an order at Dalian Shipbuilding Industry (DSIC) for the construction of a 8,500 cu m LNG bunkering vessel.

The vessel, which will be equipped with type-C tanks and dual fuel engine, is scheduled for delivery in 2020.

The vessel will be used for bunkering operations at ENN’s LNG bunkering terminal in Zhoushan, which is China’s first private LNG bunkering terminal.

With its excellent geographical location, Zhoushan is very likely to become the major ship bunkering base in China. Both Cosco and Sinopec are looking to set up bunkering operations in the region.
