Ensco secures series of new contracts and extensions

Offshore driller Ensco has secured a series of new contracts and extensions according to its latest fleet status report.

The company’s semi-submerisible drilling rig Ensco 8503 was awarded a 100-day contract with Talos Energy in the US Gulf of Mexico, which is expected to commence in November.

Drillship Ensco DS-12’s contract with Kosmos Energy offshore Suriname was extended by one well with an estimated duration of 45 days.

Additionally, five of the company’s jackup rigs have received new contracts and extensions.

Ensco 115 was awarded a 10-month contract with Mubadala Petroleum offshore Thailand that is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2019.

Ensco 87’s contract with Fieldwood in the US Gulf of Mexico was extended by four P&A wells with an estimated duration of 60 days in total. The rig was awarded a two-well contract with ExxonMobil in the US Gulf of Mexico, which is scheduled to commence in September.

Ensco 75’s contract with Talos Energy in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico was extended by 90 days to December 2018.

Ensco 122’s contract with NAM in the North Sea was extended by one well with an estimated duration of 90 days

Ensco 121’s contract with INEOS in the North Sea was extended by one well with an estimated duration of 14 days.
