Ensco secures slew of new contracts and extensions

Offshore driller Ensco has been awarded a slew of new contracts and extension, according to the company’s latest fleet status report.

Drillship ENSCO DS-9 was awarded a one-well contract by Total offshore for drilling operations at French Guiana that is expected to commence in January 2019, while drillship ENSCO DS-12 secured a two-well contract with BP offshore Senegal that is expected to commence in April 2019.

Semi-submersible drilling platforms ENSCO 8505, ENSCO 8504, ENSCO 8503 have secured drilling contracts from ENI, JAPEX and Talos respectively.

Additionally, jackup rigs Ensco 121, Ensco 122, Ensco 72, Ensco 75, Ensco 87, Ensco 102 and Ensco 68 have all received new contracts and extensions.

Earlier this month, Ensco and Rowan Companies entered into an agreement to merge the two companies in an all-stock transaction.
