Ensco sells six for scrap

UK-headquartered offshore driller Ensco has sold off six assets for scrap according to its latest fleet status report.

The six are made up of four jackup rigs Ensco 58, Ensco 91, Ensco 6003, Ensco 6004, and two drillships Ensco DS-1, Ensco DS-2.

“By scrapping rigs, we eliminate costs and contribute to reducing global rig supply,” said Carl Trowell, ceo of Ensco.
