Erasmus takes kamsarmax resales

John Su’s Erasmus Shipinvest has stepped in to snatch a pair of kamsarmax resales after Greece’s Chartworld Shipping pulled out of a deal last month. Sources say Erasmus has paid H Line of South Korea $39m for two 81,000 dwt resales from a yard in China, with one ship, Hyundai Princess, ready to deliver now and another, Hyundai Grande, coming in early 2017.

The ships will be among the most modern ships so far in Erasmus’s fleet that will continue to grow adding more bulkers acquisitions in sizes from supramaxes and up, according to its site.
