Erck Rickmers makes his return

Erck Rickmers has announced his return. The famous name in Hamburg shipping circles will take the helm at a much slimmed down ER Capital Group come April 1 next year, taking over the CEO role from Jochen Klösges who will be stepping down at the end of March. Klösges will continue as a non-executive director.

Rickmers recently completed the sale of the company’s shipmanagement business to compatriot Zeaborn Group.

ER Capital Group will look after Rickmers’ private investments with just 15 employees. As well as shipping interests Rickmers has in recent years built up significant interests in real estate and private equity.
