Eukor extends car shipping contract with Hyundai

Eukor Car Carriers has agreed with Hyundai Motor Group to carry Hyundai and Kia vehicle exports from Korea for a further four years.

The new period runs from January 2016 through to December 2019, with volumes adjusting from 50% of exports in the first two-year period to 40% in the second two-year period. Further details of the contract are still under negotiation.

Eukor, which is 40% owned by Norway’s Wilh. Wilhelmsen, completed volumes of approximately 4.6m units in 2014 with 1.7m units on behalf of Hyundai and Kia.
