Evergas doubles order at Sinopacific

Shanghai: Evergas has returned to Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering. The Danish owner has doubled the size of its order at the yard to six 27,500 cu m LNG/multigas vessels. The owner had ordered three such ships at Sinopacific 16 months ago. It upped the order on sealing more work from chemical firm INEOS.

Martin Ackermann, ceo of Evergas, said: “The advanced design of these vessels offers very high efficiency and unparalleled flexibility to INEOS securing the longevity and strong position of their business.”

Evergas said in a statement: “It is the clear strategy of Evergas to further develop and grow its presence within marine transportation of natural gas liquids for use as industrial feedstock and source of energy.”  [08/05/14]
