Xiamen: Evergreen's vice chairman spoke at the World Shipping (China) Summit yesterday on what he sees as massively changing world trade patterns. Hsieh maintained that Latin America could overhaul Europe as China’s largest trading partner by 2017. Hsieh also noted that high costs, not just from labour in China, but also fuel prices, are increasingly shifting manufacturers away from China and Asia and back to traditional spots such as the US, Mexico and Europe.
