Muscat: Planning for the second phase of Sohar Freezone will begin later this year, the Times of Oman reports.

Jamal Aziz, ceo of Sohar Freezone, said getting new rail infrastructure in place will be vital for the success of the free zone.

Aziz said Sohar has set up offices in the UAE and China with India to follow to drum up more international customers for the free zone which adjoins the fast growing Sohar Port. On top of that, Sohar’s partner in Europe, the Port of Rotterdam is helping promote the zone to European clients.  [23/02/14]
