Explosion on tanker at Chinese repair yard, one dead and two missing

An explosion occurred onboard a tanker at Jingjiang Huaxin Ship Repair in Jiangsu, China yesterday, the local work safety administration has announced.

According to the announcement, the incident happened when four workers were doing maintenance work on oil tanker Rui Fu You 068. One worker is dead, another one has suffered severe injuries, while the other two are missing.

Search and rescue work continues and authorities have started investigations into the incident.
