ExxonMobil exercises options on Rowan drillship

US-based offshore driller Rowan Companies has announced that ExxonMobil has exercised two options for 2015-built drillship Rowan Relentless.

The options are each for around 30 days and will see the drillship used for operations in the US Gulf of Mexico.

Rowan Relentless has been under contract to ExxonMobil since September, and there are two one-well options remaining on the contract.
