Kuala Lumpur: ExxonMobil subsidiary, ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc, has started operations at Malaysia's first large-scale enhanced oil recovery (EOR) project at Tapis.
"This project exemplifies ExxonMobil's leadership in technology application and global project execution excellence to maximise reserves recovery from producing fields in partnership with Petronas and Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd," said ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc. president See Kok Yew, who is also chairman of the ExxonMobil subsidiaries in Malaysia.
The Tapis EOR project is one of the largest offshore EOR projects in Southeast Asia, representing an investment of RM8bn by ExxonMobil and its 50:50 joint venture partner Petronas Carigali. [15/09/14]
