Falcon swoops for Finaval MR

Greece’s Falcon Navigation is listed as the taker of the 51,000-dwt Isola Bianca (built 2008) by numerous brokers. The ship was sold by Italy’s Finaval. Brokers report the ship fetched just under $16m, in line with the $16m valuation by MSI.

Athens-based Falcon Navigation, founded and led by Archontia Gerakis, is close to celebrating 20 years in business. This latest purchase takes the number of MRs in its fleet to three. It also has interests in bulkers and LPG vessels.
