Farstad resigns from Norwegian OSV giant

Sverre Andreas Farstad has resigned as board member at Norwegian merged OSV giant Solstad Farstad.

Farstad had repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the results of the merger between Farstad, Solstad and Deep Sea Supply.

Farstad was chairman of the Ålesund shipping company Farstad Shipping until the company merged with Solstad Offshore and Deep Sea Supply this summer. He joined the board of the new company Solstad Farstad, one of the world’s largest offshore companies with over 150 vessels in the fleet.
