Farstad Shipping’s CFO Torstein L. Stavseng is retiring after 28 years at the company and will be formally replaced by Olav Haugland as of June 1.
The new CFO (pictured) has experience in both shipping and financial markets, which the company said “will be beneficial”. He was previously the CFO of Hansa Property Group and Kistefos, and has also worked for Wilh. Wilhelmsen during his shipping career.
“I am very pleased that Olav Haugland has accepted the position as CFO. He has broad experience from similar positions in business and industry. We are now preparing Farstad Shipping for the future, and Haugland will be an important contributor to the further development of the company,” CEO of Farstad Shipping, Karl-Johan Bakken, said in a release.
Haugland will join Farstad on May 1 and Stavseng will retire on July 1. The formal handover of the CFO’s position is planned for June 1.
