Fast developments at the Iranian port of Amirabad

Dubai: Iran’s private sector has poured around $120m in developing Iran’s northern port of Amirabad, according to Seyyed Ali Naeemi, the managing director of the Amirabad Port Special Economic Zone. The port’s capacity has quadrupled in the past four years, Naeemi said.

Iran is spending big on ports at the moment as sanctions are set to lift and trade with Asia, especially China continues to rise.  [16/01/14]
