Fast growing Anglo International pounces for another post-panamax

UK-based Anglo International Shipping has snapped up the 98,000 dwt Jo Jin Maru (built 2012) for $20m, broking sources tell Splash. The ship was purchased from its close Japanese friend Kambara Kisen, who it bought a one year older sister ship from in August 2018 for a million more.

If the latest deal is confirmed, Anglo International Shipping will have bought seven post-panamax sized bulkers since ex-Graig CEO Steven Davies and Anglo International made their debut in 2017 with the acquisition of two 2013-built Chinese-built kamsarmaxes. All the company’s ships start with the Anglo suffix.
