Fire breaks out at Chiwan Port

A fire broke out at a dockyard of Shenzhen Chiwan Port yesterday morning.

Shenzhen fire brigade deployed firefighting teams on both land and water and managed to contain the fire in less than two hours. No casualty were reported.

According to the fire brigade, the fire started from a pile of plastic packages.

Authorities have started investigations into the incident and are also doing an assessment on the environmental impact on the nearby region.
