Fire breaks out at New Century Shipbuilding

A fire broke out yesterday morning at a New Century Shipbuilding yard in Jiangsu.

No casualties were reported from the incident, which according to local reports started near the accommodation area of the shipyard. The fire was put out by the local fire department who were called to the scene.

When contacted by Splash, a spokesperson from New Century Shipbuilding would not comment on the incident but said that operations at the yard were normal.

Authorities have already started investigations into the incident.
