Fire erupts at Valero refinery in Port Arthur

A fire broke out on Tuesday in a storage tank at Valero’s refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, according to Reuters.

Valero’s emergency response team was on the scene tackling the blaze along with the Port Arthur Fire Department.

No injuries were reported.

Port Arthur Fire Department urged nearby residents to shelter in place until further notice.

Valero’s Port Arthur refinery reopened only on September 14 (last Thursday) after being closed for two weeks because of Hurricane Harvey.
