First subsea contract for Rosetti Marino

Italian shipbuilding company Rosetti Marino has been awarded an important contract with subsea specialist OneSubsea UK, a Cameron & Schlumberger joint venture company.

The €33m ($37m) contract is for the engineering, procurement & construction of subsea production modules for a North African offshore gas project on behalf of an international oil company.

The contract work will start this year with scheduled completion for early 2017. For the Italian shipyard, the contract marks its entry into the niche subsea business sector.
