Five ships hit by storms off Dalian, 26 crew rescued

Dalian: Five cargo ships were hit by a storm off Dalian in the Bohai Sea yesterday afternoon.

The Beihai Rescue Bureau launched a large scale recue operation after receiving emergency calls from the ships, with helicopters sent from both Dalian and Penglai.

All 26 crew members about the ships were rescued. According to an official from Beihai Rescue Bureau, the rescue operation finished late last night and two of the ships have been confirmed to have sank during the storm.

The ships are Yu Xin Huo 13396, Jiang Shun 299, Guo Liang 7, Jiang Hang 99 and Cheng Tong 7.
