Flex LNG inks sale and leaseback deal for newbuild LNG carrier

John Fredriksen’s Flex LNG has executed a sale and leaseback deal for newbuild LNG carrier Flex Rainbow.

The company just took delivery of the 174,00 cu m LNG carrier from Samsung Heavy Industries this week, and the vessel has commenced a 6-month time charter with a major European energy company.

The Flex Rainbow is Flex LNG’s fourth LNG carrier while another four LNG carriers are currently under construction.
