Former COSCO official gets suspended death sentence

Dalian: The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced that the former vice general manager of COSCO Qingdao, Song Jun, has received final court sentence for serious corruption behavior, bribery and obstruction of presenting evidence.

The court has given Song Jun death sentence with a two-year reprieve.

Songjun, 48, had been the vice general manager of COSCO Qingdao since 2001 and he also served as the secretary of discipline inspection commission in COSCO Group. [30/05/14]
