Former Shanghai shipping official arrested

Shanghai: The Shanghai Discipline Inspection Commission has announced that the former director of Shanghai Baoshan Shipping Economic Development Area, Yang Baogen, has been arrested by authorities for corruption investigations.

Shanghai Baoshan Shipping Economic Development Area was established in 2002 by the Shanghai government to boost the local shipping economy. Currently there are more than 1,000 companies which have registered in the area.
