Fortune Ocean Shipping orders four bulkers at Tianjin Xingang Shipbuilding

Dalian-based dry bulk shipping firm Fortune Ocean Shipping has placed an order for four 82,000 dwt panamax bulk carriers at Tianjin Xingang Shipbuilding and has further options to construct two more.

The price for each vessel is $23.5m and delivery will start from 2018. It is the company’s first newbuilding order since 2014.

Fortune Ocean Shipping currently operates a fleet of 17 bulkers and has one ultramax bulker under contruction at Dalian Cosco KHI.
