Franbo Lines snaps up Japanese handy

Taiwan’s Franbo Lines has acquired 2008-built Imabari handy size bulker Idship Bulker, according to broker reports.

Franbo has paid Danish investment group ID Management $7.8m for the vessel, according to Seasure Shipbrokers and Advanced Shipping & Trading, slightly higher than the $7.42m valuation from VesselsValue.

The sale will leave ID Management with five bulkers and an OSV under its ownership, while the acquisition grows Franbo’s fleet to 12 vessels.
