Fred Olsen acquires offshore wind vessel

Fred Olsen Windcarrier has bought 51% ownership of 2012-built offshore wind transport & installation vessel Seafox 5 from Seafox.

The other 49% stake in the vessel, worth around €188.3m ($213.75m), is owned by Singapore’s Keppel Offshore and Marine. The vessel will come under Fred Olsen’s commercial, technical and administrative management, as part of its fleet.

Seafox 5 is a multi purpose jack-up construction vessel and grows the Fred Olsen Windcarrier offshore wind fleet to three. It also owns seven crew transport vessels.
