Fugro awarded $26m contract by ONGC

Dutch survey specialist Fugro has won a geotechnical site investigation contract with ONGC India for the KG-DWN-98/2 project off the east coast of India.

The purpose of the work is to gather site specific geotechnical and geohazard data to aid in the design and later installation of wellheads, manifolds, platforms, FPSO anchors, umbilicals, pipelines and flow lines within the field.

Fugro will deploy its deep water geotechnical vessel, Fugro Voyager, for the works which will commence before the end of the third quarter of 2016.

The contract is valued at around $26m.
