Fugro and CGG joint venture secures survey extension from ADNOC

Seabed Geosolutions, a joint venture between Fugro and CGG, has secured an extension from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for shallow water operations off the United Arab Emirates.

Survey work covers phase two of the Ghasha Field project and is due to start during October. The $60m project is expected to take around nine months.

“We are very pleased by the continued confidence shown by ADNOC with this new award, which is clearly the result of the exceptional performance of our shallow water crew. Over the past years and thanks to a close cooperation with ADNOC, this crew has been setting new safety, data quality and efficiency standards for shallow water and transition zone surveys, allowing for cost effective acquisition of large surveys,” commented Stephan Midenet, CEO of Seabed Geosolutions.
