Fugro wins $20m contract extension from Pemex

Mexico’s state oil company Pemex has awarded Dutch survey company Fugro a $20m contract extension  for work supporting offshore exploration in the Bay of Campeche.

It is the second recent extension Fugro has earned from Pemex. In October Fugro, in conjunction with Mexican company Diavaz, was given a $13m extension.

The latest contract extension starts this month and runs through 2016.

The Bay of Campeche is the southern bight of the Gulf of Mexico with coastlines in the states of Campeche, Tabasco and Veracruz. It has a history of productive deepwater oil output.
