Fuzhou upgrades facilities

Guangzhou: The southern Chinese port of Fuzhou has received approval to build the second phase project of the Fuqingwan deep water shipping channel.

The project will construct a 150,000 tons-class shipping channel of 18.95 kilometers in length, and a 100,000 tons-class shipping channel of 2.08 kilometers in length. The project is scheduled to be completed by the middle of 2016.

In addition, the port is planning to build one 3,000tons-class liquid chemical berth at Jiangyin port area to meet the growing demand for transporting liquid chemical products in the region. [12/12/14]
