G2 Ocean targets project cargo growth

G2 Ocean, the bulk shipping joint venture of Norwegian companies Gearbulk and Grieg Star, has expanded its project cargo business with the opening of offices in Houston and Hamburg.

The company has also hired three new senior project cargo managers, one to work in each of the new offices and a third in Singapore.

Leif Arne Strømmen, VP innovation and project cargo at G2 Ocean, commented: “Our project cargo results are continuously improving, and I am impressed by our team’s efforts. However, we have high ambitions for the future and to stay on target, we need additional resources.”

“We currently lack presence in Houston and Hamburg and new office representations in these key project markets will enable us to offer diversified services towards new industries and customers”, Strømmen added.

Cliff Kuhfeldt will join the company in Houston from Bahri Logistics, while the other new hires have yet to be revealed.
