Oslo: GC Rieber Shipping has said that it has entered into an agreement to sell construction support vessel Polar Prince (4,500 dwt, built 1999).

The vessel was designed in-house and built at Flekkefjord Verft. It came off a time charter contract with Reef Subsea at the end of 2014, and has been without employment since.

GC Rieber Shipping said that the vessel will be delivered to the new undisclosed owner early June, and provide the company with an accounting gain of around NOK10m ($1.27m).
