Genco offloads ageing panamax bulker trio

New York-based dry bulk shipowner Genco Shipping & Trading has sold three 1999-built panamax bulkers for a total price of $19.3m.

Genco Beauty, Genco Knight, and Genco Vigour are the last 1990s-built vessels in the Genco fleet, and each has a fair market value of $7.3m according to MSI.

Genco Beauty was delivered earlier this week, while Genco Knight is scheduled for deliver this year and Genco Vigour in January. The buyer is likely Chinese, with all three vessels are currently located off various parts of China.
