General cargo vessel catches fire off Ningbo

A Cambodia flagged general cargo vessel  Haoda 6 caught fire near Ningbo in China yesterday afternoon while en route from Yokohama in Japan to Taizhou in Zhejiang.

All crew – a mix of Chinese and Bengalis – have been rescued while the fire was contained last night and completely put out this morning.

Currently authorities have started investigations into the incident.
